Smart door lock

Handle Lock

A smart lock integrated into the door handle. Enable it, or disable it, from afar.

Designed by Flynn Stout

How it works

Deactivated, the outside
handle does nothing.

An open spindle, with a stokhamer running through it. A sliding mechanism engages the exterior handle, or disengages it.

    Open spindle

The spindle is open, so the stokhamer can run through it.

Shown in green. While the system is deactivated, the outside handle does not function.

  3. 03

    From afar

Enable or disable the lock remotely, without going to the door.

What's inside

Everything, in the handle.

Each component is modelled in SolidWorks and integrated with the door handle.

Entry and security

Recognised, it opens.
Unrecognised, it rings.

Finger recognition grants entry. When a finger is not accepted, the system rings the doorbell inside.

Finger recognition

No match, no entry. An unrecognised finger rings the doorbell inside instead.
